With this check-in/check-out model, simply purchase a pool of tokens. Each add-on and tool has an assigned value. When an add-on is used, its token value is deducted from the pool. Once it’s no longer in use, the tokens return to the available pool.

These add-ons cover a wide range of functionalities, including part model preparation, productivity enhancements, specialized machining, simulation, postprocessors, and machine kits.

Yes, the Value Based Licensing system is automatically updated alongside NX X Manufacturing releases, ensuring access to the latest CAM capabilities without additional software installations.

Customers need to purchase a base NX X Manufacturing subscription and then select a Value Based Licensing package with the required number of credits. These credits provide access to advanced machining, additive manufacturing, advanced CAD, robotics, CMM inspection, machine simulation, and postprocessing capabilities, allowing flexible use based on production needs.

Value Based Licensing allows floating access, meaning that tokens can be shared across a team to enable different users to work with advanced manufacturing.

Additional costs may apply if more tokens are required for extended functionality or custom postprocessors are needed for specific CNC machines. However, regular software updates are included in the subscription.

Built-in data management is coming soon and will be included with all Standard, Advanced, and Premium core seat license options. No additional purchase will be required to enable built-in data management. This capability will be introduced in the next release.

Yes, every seat of NX X Manufacturing comes with built-in data management. However, if you already are using on-premises Teamcenter, Teamcenter X or saving data to the operating system, you can continue to do so.

You have the following options for data storage with NX X Manufacturing:

• If you have Teamcenter X, the data will be stored in a single tenant in the cloud.
• If you are using the built-in data management, it will be stored in a multi-tenant in the cloud (within your specific enterprise cloud account)
• If you are using on-premises Teamcenter, the data is stored in the Teamcenter environment.
