Operating system requirements & information for NX CAD

NX June 2025 is supported with the following operating systems:

  • Supported: Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, RedHat/Rocky Linux 8.10, SuSE Linux 15
  • Limited support: Windows 10, Windows Server 2019, RedHat Linux 8, RedHat/RockyLinux 8.9

Hardware system requirements for NX CAD

Workstations: NX June 2025 is certified to run on a number of desktop and mobile HP, Dell, Lenovo, Fujitsu, MSI and Siemens workstations.

Graphics cards: NX June 2025 is also certified to be supported by a number of AMD Firepro/Radeon Pro, NVIDIA Quadro and Intel HD graphics cards. These graphics cards are supported only when used in supported systems configured by the OEM and using the recommended driver. No eGPUs or external graphics devices have been or are planned to be certified.

Recommended hardware specs for NX CAD

  • 32 GB RAM or more

    • NX is capable of handling large assemblies and very complex parts. For the optimum user experience and application performance, we recommend that you install as much RAM as can be installed in the client workstation that is running NX.
  • 9.0 GB of disk space required for installation (includes prerequisites)
  • True Color (32-bit) or 16 million colors (24-bit)
  • Screen Resolution: 1920 x 1080
  • Video RAM: 2GB

Minimum hardware specs for NX CAD

  • 8 GB RAM
  • 9.0 GB of disk space required for installation (includes prerequisites)
  • 65K Colors
  • Screen resolution: 1920 x 1080
  • Video RAM: 2GB

Please reboot your system after installing NX or maintenance packs.

Cloud

NX June 2025 can be run with a number of certified cloud configurations with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft VMD and Amazon AWS.
