Why Supply Chain Suite?

Use our configurable platform to consolidate data from various IT systems. Integrated logistics planning and optimization modules let you map custom process chains.

Use powerful data and targeted assessments to plan alternate network architectures and transportation routes, analyze the location and function of sites, identify cost drivers and leverage the hidden potential in your supply chain. These functions streamline your operations by optimizing how you plan routes and tours and consolidate shipments.

Monitor, manage and understand your entire supply chain. The holistic, data-driven view of the supply chain enables you to design processes more efficiently and to reduce costs. You can identify planning deviations early and visualize current statuses. You can also simulate scenarios when creating incident response plans and create alternative courses of action.

Plan, simulate and optimize your supply chain

Get the most out of your logistics processes by bringing together data and information from different sources. Analyze and simulate every logistics procedure using the digital twin approach.

Modular cloud solution

Use only the cloud services you need, when you need them. This flexible software as a service (SaaS) solution grows with your requirements.

Integrated infrastructure

Integrate in your existing infrastructure with APIs to relevant tools, such as ERPs, TMSs, CRMs and more. Leverage its strong connection with other products in the Siemens Xcelerator software portfolio.

Sustainable business

Reduce your environmental impact, improve social responsibility and create a more sustainable supply chain with Supply Chain Suite.

Build a custom, modular solution package

Maximize your supply chain resilience and efficiency with simulations and mathematical optimization.

Supply Chain Network Visibility

Get total supply chain visibility at a glance

Consolidate data from various sources and with different reference points into a single logistics data model. Use formulas in the process cost model to visualize the cause-effect chain for logistics services. Logistics costs are assigned to specific market services across all stages of the supply chain.

Visibility of all relevant data and indicators across the entire supply chain, in a single standardized data model, sets the stage for price-to-performance comparisons and customizable, indicator-based analyses.

Supply Chain Network Visibility is the foundation for all the other planning modules.

Network Planning and Optimization

Leverage IT support for the optimal network

Design ideal multi-level networks with the Network Planning and Optimization module. Advanced algorithms and mathematics are used to plan and optimize both greenfield (new) and brownfield (existing) network architectures.

The network simulation analyzes the layouts of multi-level distribution and procurement networks. The software simulates various network configurations (cross-docks, distribution centers, depots, hubs) and outbound operating models (direct supplies, consolidation) and analyzes the costs.

Logistics Demand Planning

Use the right transportation

Use materials requirements planning to anticipate the appropriate transport capacities with the Logistics Demand Planning module. The software leverages warehouse stock data, the delivery schedules of upstream suppliers, and manufacturing timelines to plan your precise transportation needs. It even takes into account bills of materials.

The key to all this is delivery interval optimization. Use mathematical methods to optimize pickups or delivery intervals, such as weekly, daily or customized frequencies. Minimize both transportation costs and safety stock in distribution for inbound and outbound alike.

Transportation Planning and Optimization

Ensure reliable transportation at ideal conditions

Optimize transportation with the features of the Transportation Planning and Optimization module:

  • Find ideal routes using transportation route optimization to analyze site, fleet and customer data. Modify fixed tours manually to reduce costs
  • Reduce freight costs by optimizing transportation segmentation with transportation channel selection
  • Take into account all service specifications and delivery deadlines to select the right transportation service provider. Use segmentation to accommodate milk runs, LCL, FCL, and more
  • Optimize transportation capacity for supply and procurement tours with transportation planning. The optimized tour structures also help when calling for new tenders for supply and procurement transportation. Apply the planning and optimization to milk runs, deliveries or fixed tours
  • Use distribution planning to support last-mile planning. The site planning feature lets you optimize customer-to-depot assignments and shorten routes

Freight Rate Management

Maintain all rates and contracts in one place

Transparently consolidate freight rates and contracts, taking into account relevant routing information with the Freight Rate Management module.

The Freight Rate Management models, stores and maintains tariff structures of any complexity. Extensive search and filter options support the maintenance of tariffs and tenders at any time. The processing of different types of transportation – parcel, land, sea, air, rail – comes out-of-the-box as well as the consideration of surcharges, lead times and other process peculiarities. Defined tariff structures can be used and modified for any project.

Based on valid contracts, freight information is reliably calculated down to individual shipments and tours, taking alternative routing options into account. Globally existing contracts are available centrally; for example, those concluded by branch offices. Regular reports based on individual metrics round off the package for transparent freight rate management.

Supply Chain Sustainability

Reduce environmental impact, improve social responsibility and create a more sustainable supply chain

Track carbon emissions from all transportation and production activities to identify opportunities to reduce emissions. Improve efficiency, for instance by using SCS to optimize container utilization, resulting in lower transportation costs but also improving resource utilization.

Share sustainability performance data in collaboration with suppliers or service providers and set sustainability targets and track their achievement. All relevant data and information can be used to track progress, identify opportunities for improvement, and report to stakeholders in a sustainability performance report. Also use SCS to promote social responsibility in the supply chain.
